"Most Beautiful" Race

Rounding the last curve
With their medals!
On Saturday, May 5th, the "Most Beautiful" 5K and 10 K race was held right outside our place, as it started from King's Beach.  Three of our students ran in the 5K: Shazreh, Kelcey, and Sydney.  Out of 12, 200 entrants (the majority of whom ran the 5K), all three finished in the first one-hundred.  Way to go!
12, 200 runners

It was a gorgeous morning (unlike the Ironman Race), and the race started at 7:00 a.m. - just as the sun was rising over the Indian Ocean.  To me, that is what made this the "most beautiful" race!

Men could also enter this race, but had to do so in drag.  I was disappointed that none of our male students  (or Jim) entered, but there were some colorful entrants.
