CSB/SJU Actors Debut "Ubu & The Truth Commission"

This week's South African Literature class had quite a change of pace.  Instead of the usual reading and discussion format, Mary West assigned a play Ubu and the Truth Commission to read - and perform!

Everyone got in the act.  Each flat acted out one of the five acts, so quite a few people got a chance to play Ma or Pa Ubu.

Ryan as Ma Ubu -  being manipulated!
Here are a few of the scenes:

Three-headed "Dogs of War"
(I don't think they look fierce enough, do you?)

Margaret nailed the headscarf!

A few thespians were singled out for "Academy Awards" by their fellow students.
