Bloukrans Bungee Jump

Bloukrans River Bridge:
They jump from its center.
We left for our spring break trip to Cape Town at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, March 29.  Maybe I should avoid use of the term "break," as after two hours on the bus, our first stop was at Bloukrans River Bridge.  Located there is Face Adrenalin, a bungee jump operator.  At 216 meters high, the Bloukrans River Bridge is self-proclaimed as the world's highest bungee jump.

Ryan, Shannon, and Sarah have their jump numbers,
but don't look too sure...
Twenty-five of the students took the plunge - some diving, some jumping, and some needing a more than gentle push.

Tucker, with a piece of bungee cord.
All of them were glad they had done it - after the fact.  Most bought Face Adrenalin T-shirts that read, "Fear is temporary.  Regret is forever."

After the jump, everyone was all smiles!
